Set amid the Belle Époque and early industrial era, the France map introduces a fresh mechanic: whenever you draw train-cards, you must first place a track tile on the map — then any player may claim it by matching cards. This added layer forces deeper strategic thinking and a new level of route competition: not just which paths you’ll claim, but which you’ll build the foundations for — and which you’ll bait your opponents into.

Old West Map Side
Switching to the American frontier, the Old West map supports up to six players, and features a unique network-building twist. Each player begins from a chosen home city, expands outward, and may claim routes only from their own network. If you build into a city claimed by another player, they get the points for your route! There’s even a fun variant involving the alien “Alvin,” where the first player reaching Roswell scores a bonus and may move Alvin around the map to disrupt opponents.
