Bonsai
Bonsai is a tile-placement board game from dV Giochi (daVinci Editrice) in which players act as bonsai masters, each growing and shaping a miniature tree in a pot. On a turn you either meditate, drafting a Zen card that gives you new tiles, or cultivate, adding tiles to your tree. You score for how your bonsai looks and for meeting goals, aiming to win a place in the Imperial Gardens. It plays 1 to 4, includes a solo mode, and a game lasts about 40 minutes.
