Azul

Azul is Michael Kiesling's tile-drafting board game, winner of the 2018 Spiel des Jahres. Players take coloured tiles from the factory displays and use them to decorate the walls of the Royal Palace of Évora. Points come from building patterns and completing sets, and any tiles you can't place cost you points. It is quick to learn and still gives players plenty to think about.
